FAQ:

• What should I wear to class?
Totally up to you. Students tend to wear anything from comfy workout attire to cute lingerie pieces – whatever you’re comfortable in! As you get more advanced with pole work, it is encouraged that you wear shorts or booty shorts because skin contact on the pole will help with your technique.  Try bringing a pair of your favorite heels to pole class!  You are not required to wear them and can stay barefoot - but many students prefer them.

• Do the gals really wear heels in class?
Most classes start out barefoot for the warmup. It’s helpful and fun to bring your favorite pair of heels for floor and pole work. You can always take them off if you’re not comfortable.

• I’m a beginner – what class should I take?
If you are attending a pole class at tease-studio, we require all new students to take a “beginning pole 101” class, which is offered several times a week. If you are checking out any of our many dance or tease-fit classes, feel free to take any of the classes stating “all levels”.

• Should I bring a yoga mat?
We will gladly share the use of our yoga mats with you during class, but ask that you please spray and dry down both sides before putting the mat away in order to ensure cleanliness for your future use and fellow teasers. You are also welcome to bring your own yoga mat.

• How private is the studio?
Tease-Studio is completely private. Men are not allowed in the studio unless the class says “co-ed” and during parties/performances in which they are invited……the sexy classes are ladies only!

Tease Studio Rules:

As a guest of studio, we kindly ask that you respect the following guidelines::

  • All students must be 18+.
  • Please do not wear any sharp jewelry.  No rings or bracelets when dancing on the poles please.  It is suggested that you don’t wear any jewelry at the studio, although we realize that some pieces are difficult to remove.
  • Please do not interrupt an instructor or class in session. You are welcome to discretely move through the studio to use our changing area while a class is in session.
  • Please check-in for your class prior to participating, presenting your last name for our desk staff to check you in.
  • Please listen when the instructor is addressing the group.
  • There are no pets or children allowed in Tease-Studio. Probably a given, but just in case……
  • We will gladly share the use of our yoga mats with you during class, but ask that you please spray and dry down both sides before putting the mat away in order to ensure cleanliness for your future use and fellow teasers.

Pole Class Guidelines:

  • Please do not wear any lotion during the day you are taking a pole class. Moisturizer makes the poles very slippery and builds up a residue that makes it difficult for you and your fellow students to work with.
  • You must have an instructor, not another student show you new pole dance technique and be present while you are first attempting any new tricks.
  • Pole dance technique at Tease-Studio is instructed in a very specific and regimented order so that proper technique and pole dance safety will be followed.
  • Please do not attempt to instruct your fellow students with current or new movements. Our instructors are trained professionals in their form of dance/fitness and it is important for everyone’s safety that this rule is respected.
  • While first attempting any climbing or inversions, an instructor must be present to spot you.
  • Please do not climb to more than 9 feet on the poles (this comes to the bottom of the heaters)
